Some dogs are nowhere near tired after an hour in the village. They need distance, elevation and above all variety: new ground underfoot, new smells, real nature.
That's exactly what these outings are for. We take the hiking trails of the Saanenland, in summer and winter alike, always matched to what your dog can genuinely manage.
What's included
- Outings of several hours rather than a single lap
- Route chosen for fitness, age and season
- Breaks, water and close attention to exertion
- Photos from the trail
- A dog who comes home properly satisfied
How it works
1. Assessment
We talk through fitness, experience on terrain, recall and any joint issues.
2. Matching route
I pick the trail and distance accordingly — from a gentle valley walk to a longer climb.
3. By arrangement
Dates are agreed individually, depending on weather and conditions.
Who it's for
For healthy, fit dogs from around a year old who are reliable on terrain. For growing puppies, very old dogs or animals with joint problems, the standard walking service is the better choice — too much elevation does more harm than good.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a mountain walk cost?
Mountain outings are arranged individually according to duration and route. Send me a message and we'll find the right option.
Is the dog kept on the lead?
It depends on the route and the season. Lead rules apply in wildlife protection zones and during breeding season, and I follow them strictly.
Is my dog fit enough?
We'll work that out together. If in doubt we start with a shorter route and build up gradually.
